Players

The National Player Development Framework provides a definable pathway to guide players to a level of football that helps them fulfil their potential and keep them in the game.

The framework re-aligns all aspects of the game to form one cohesive system that hopefully brings long-term success for the game in New Zealand. The framework provides football in New Zealand with an exciting model aimed to meet the needs of players at all levels.

It bridges the gap between grassroots and high performance and gives the federation, but also clubs and schools, a clear direction in helping football achieve two interrelated key objectives: Get as many Kiwi kids enthused about playing football from a young age and create long-term success at the highest levels.
