Mainland announces Hudl Partnership

Mainland Football is excited to announce its new partnership with Hudl, a performance analysis technology provider. Hudl is providing video coding software, a platform to share video between teams, and code the fixtures into key performance indicators.

In a joint venture with the clubs, “Mainland Football is investing in the game, facilitating the support of clubs, coaches, and teams, with the aim to improve performance on the field, as well as individual player development.” according to Alan Walker, Federation Development Manager.

Mr Walker adds that “This is a first-step toward getting this technology introduced into youth football, and for it to become second nature toward player development and player learning.”

Hudl’s New Zealand Account Manager, Simon Mead, is also excited about the partnership and developing the analysis capabilities of clubs in the region. “It is great to be able to provide more opportunities for coaches and players to access video as we know how crucial it is as a learning tool"

Chris Bacon, Mainland’s Football’s Head of Sports Science and Medicine, believes “It will allow us to see the game in a more objective manner, meaning we can make informed, subjective decisions around player development and welfare, talent ID, coach education, along with opposition analysis”

In the first round of MPL, we have already been able to derive the following statistics.
