2021 National Age Group Tournament Coaches Announced

Mainland Football is excited to announce the ten coaches that will help lead our teams at the upcoming National Age Group Tournament in Wellington later this year.

Leading the U17 Girls team is Khalil Gerbeaux. Khalil is an OFC C License qualified coach and is an assistant coach for the Canterbury United Pride. Assisting Khalil is Lorraine Hayes, a bright up-and-coming coach with a tonne of potential.

The Head Coach of the U15 Girls squad is JD Dennen, an OFC C License qualified coach and Head Coach of the Nomads United Women's Premier League squad. Ella Jackson is Assistant Coach for the U15 girls. Ella captained the Nomads United Women's Premier League squad and is another exciting young coach in the Mainland Region.

On the boy's side, taking the U17 Boys is Head Coach Lee Padmore. Lee is the Director of Football at Mainland Football and is the former Canterbury United Dragon's Head Coach. He is an OFC A License qualified coach. Assisting Lee is Luke Tongue, a participant in the TDP Coach Mentor programme this year, and is an OFC B License candidate.

Head Coach of the U15 Boys is Mainland Federation Player Development Manager Aaron Clapham. Aaron is the assistant coach of the New Zealand U17 men's team and is an OFC A License qualified coach. Assistant Coach for the U15 Boys is Will Mitchell, another participant in the TDP Coach Mentor programme and an OFC C License qualified coach.

The two goalkeeper coaches are Danny Knight, former Canterbury United Dragon and current Cashmere Technical keeper who holds an OFC C Goalkeeper License, and Jordi Woodward, who was part of the Canterbury United Pride programme for several years.

This is one of the strongest coaching lineups we've had at a National Age Group Tournament, and we look forward to watching them in Wellington later this year.
