Top Flight Futsal on display in Tauranga.

The NZF Futsal Ferns and Futsal Whites kick-off their respective Trans Pacific Futsal Cup campaigns tonight (12 September), at ASB Baypark Arena, Tauranga.

In an historic occasion, the Futsal Ferns will play their first ever international. The team coming together in Christchurch, late in August for their first camp, and again last week in Rotorua in preparation for this head -to-head battle with New Caledonia.

The New Caledonian men’s team have proven to be tough competition for the Futsal whites in previous fixtures, and the NZF side are expecting a tight affair in tonight’s first clash, with results indicating just how close the games have been; Played 4, for two wins a piece.

Good luck to all the players involved but a special mention to the Mainland Football crew, which could have up to 6 players playing, including 5 making their international debuts.

Congratulations to Britneylee Nicholson, Sophie Williams, Hamish Mitchell, Tom McGowan and Ben Lapslie all potentially making their debuts, as well as returning veteran goal keeper, Atta Elayyan.
