Coaching Workshop’s with Rob Sherman – Improving the game

An outstanding opportunity to learn from the best!

  • Wednesday 29th March, 7pm, English Park
  • Wednesday 5th April, 7pm, English Park

Rob Sherman is current holder of the UEFA Pro License coaching badge, one of five in New Zealand.

Rob’s professional playing career was spent at Cardiff City, Swansea City and Hull City (he liked teams with City in the name!?)

His diverse skill-set enabled him to take on the Technical Director role at the Football Association of Wales, as well as Player Development Manager. He coached Wales Age Group International teams, which included players such as Joe Allen, Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale, and continued to progress his passion for Coaching and Coach Education.

Rob took on the role as High Performance Manager at New Zealand Football and spent a number of years as the Head of Coach Education in the Football Federation of Australia.

He has hosted 18 ‘A’ License courses, recently completing 12-day Part1 of only the second A License to be held in New Zealand, where 24 candidates were there to improve themselves and the game.

He has attended numerous World Cups as Technical Advisor for FIFA and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Canterbury.

Rob’s outstanding vision has brought world class coach education to New Zealand and we have an opportunity to work with him in two up-coming workshops.

If you have attended an Advanced Coaching Course (SL2/SL3/JL3/YL3), if you are a Mainland Premier League coach, a Women’s Premier League coach, Reserve team coach or an ex-player who wants to improve their knowledge and get back in the game, then it is a must that you attend!

Both workshops will provide a different topic and shall bring to life the NZF National Curriculum, as well as the National Team Model
